I'm having one of those "fuck everything" days. I've quit smoking, but, for the life of me, I still can't breathe. I'm tired of mucus. (yes, you needed to know, quiet)

In other news, important news, I've got a new top-secret project in the works for DC's abominable Zuda Comics project. I'm a big fan of the writer I'm teaming with, so at least I'll have that going for me. Luckily, initial Zuda submissions are limited to eight pages, so I won't be killing myself over it, either.

On a related note, Artificial Romance chugs along very nicely. I've got a workable script and I'm four pages in, so I give it about three months, all told. I'm considering not releasing it until I've got two in the can. Not so sure. Does anyone think releasing complete issues on a bi-monthly basis directly to the site would inhibit repeat visitors? I'm reluctant to do single-page updates- my stories aren't punchline-based, if you see what I'm saying. Also considering making .cbr copies available for direct download, so you can view the issue in your favorite scan-viewer. Thoughts, anyone?

Another thing I've been mulling over- indie comics don't really do the "shared universe" concept. Might be fun to get together with some other folks sometime and hammer out a shared, non-superhero setting to tell some stories in. Don't know if it would be something I'd want to stay married to for too long. Hmm. I'll have to think about the format a little more.

Now to spruce up the living room a little bit before settling in with an Oktoberfest or two and the word processor ...
